Meet Tong
Tong dedicated 15 years of her career to supporting children in vulnerable situations as an NGO coordinator in Chiang Rai, working with street children, stateless children, and children from hill tribe communities. She later spent 10 years at Thailand's National Health Foundation, contributing to child and youth health policy at the national level.
Today, Tong has stepped away from full-time employment and is currently seeking opportunities that provide a sustainable income. She has been living on Koh Phangan for just over a year.
Deeply committed to personal growth, Tong has developed a strong interest in meditation and mental focus, believing that inner clarity and resilience are essential foundations for critical thinking and meaningful social impact.
During her time on the island, she has carefully observed the local context and identified an urgent need to support displaced children. While the challenges are significant, public awareness remains limited, and resources are scarce. Tong hopes that, in the right moment, she will connect with like-minded people who share her commitment to creating positive social change and are ready to work together to make a lasting difference.
